Changing the Default Page Width of a Database
It’s no secret that you can change the width of a Notion page through the page settings menu, but until today there was no way to do this for multiple pages at once.
While you still can’t easily enable that setting for multiple stand-alone pages in your workspace, Notion has now introduced a new feature that lets you define the page width for all pages within the same database.
That’s something at least!
Here’s how to set it up for any database in just a few steps:
- Open the database settings menu by clicking on ⋯ in the top-right corner of the database page.
- Click on Customize layout.
- Click on Page settings in the top-left corner.
- Activate the Full width option by clicking on the toggle.

That’s it! All existing and newly created pages in a selected database will now use the full width page setting by default.
You can still override this on individual pages through the ⋯ page settings menu.
