Benny Builds It Had a Makeover
You probably know already that you can share and publish any Notion page, which is often enough to create a simple website and works great for basic use cases β but with the right tools, you can take it much further than that.
Over the past few weeks, Iβve rebuilt and redesigned this website using Notion as my content management system and Super, one of the most powerful Notion website builders out there, to turn it into a fully functional and optimized content website.
The Website Highlights
- A completely redesigned homepage with sections to highlight my templates, upcoming courses, and YouTube channel.
- Dynamically updated template ratings and YouTube stats, pulled from the Notion Marketplace and YouTubeβs API.
- A clean, filterable template gallery and blog β powered by Notion databases views within my content database.
- New dedicated pages for upcoming courses and tool recommendations.
- A dynamic wall of love where I collect and showcase the amazing feedback I get from all the kind people out there.
Using Notion as Website CMS
The entire website is powered by Notion under the hood.
What you see live on the site is essentially just a set of well-structured Notion pages and databases.
2.5
Each section is built directly in Notion, and since itβs incredibly easy to embed third-party content, the same simplicity applies when building a website on top of it.
All content is organized in a central database with different views for each part of the site β pages, templates, courses, blog posts, and tools. Each content page either contains static content or dynamic database views to display a specific selection of entries.
Managing content is as simple as updating a Notion page. No separate CMS, no copy-pasting, no extra tools. Everything happens right where I already plan and create all my content.
Using Super to Make It a Real Website
Super is probably the most advanced Notion website builder and the tool that turns my Notion pages into a real, fully functional website.
You can think of it like a website hosting provider, but with an important difference.
2.5
Instead of hosting content directly, Super pulls everything from Notion, applies design settings, and optimizes it for speed and SEO.
With Super, I was able to connect my own domain, structure my pages, and add important SEO settings like meta descriptions β all without touching code. You can also make design tweaks directly in Super, and if you want more control, you can add custom code to really dial in the look and feel.
In short: Super takes your Notion workspace and makes it look, feel, and perform like a real website β allowing you to publish content right from within the tool you already use to create and organize it.
You can get started with Super for free β and if you decide to build your own website with it, make sure to use the coupon code NOTIONSITES
